Size:
A wider ball of foot pad (aka metatarsal pad or metatarsal cookie) to help alleviate pressure across the entire ball of the foot. Also great for helping to prevent the foot from slidng forward in shoes. Self-adhesive backing allows the pad to stay securely in place. The metatarsal pads are approximately 2.25 inches at their widest and 2.75 inches in length. Metatarsal pads are used for a variety of foot problems like pain in the ball of the fee, neuromas, calluses, IPks, Painful scars, and lack of a plantar fat pad. Metatarsal pads splay and offload the metatarsal heads. This reduces the pressure across the ball of the foot and in the nerves between the metatarsal heads. Proper placement of the pad is critical to achieve the therapeutic relief from any of the above conditions. Metatarsal pads can be placed in the insole, under the insole or directly on the foot.

    these are life-changing and long-lasting

Was having chronic metatarsalgia bad enough that walking more than short distances was painful. After little or no benefit from various insoles recommended by podiatrists, I came across these and gave them a try. Was immediately able to walk and hike comfortably for as many miles as desired - basically resumed my prior level of activity. The adhesive is amazing - the first few times I wear them it takes a bit of effort to peel them off my feet, then they are easy to peel off. I rotate two pair on alternate days (gives them a chance to "breathe" between wearings). After a few weeks they don't feel like they have much "stick," but they can easily be made to stick by warming them: first briskly rubbing my sole, then applying the pad, then giving the pad a good brisk rub, then putting a sock on to hold it in place until well warmed up. Then the pad sticks fine for the rest of the day. This way two pair last 6 or 7 weeks before I discard them because of odor. Super economical! Couldn't be happier.
